A. Provide preschool in the public school system to all our children.

Let's get all our children ready for school. Studies have shown that preschool raises a child's achievement scores and helps with their social adjustment. Studies have also shown a reduction in the need for special education, and with preschool, fewer children are being held back for a second year in the same grade. In this highly competitive world, our children deserve the best education we can provide.

B.Refund all excess tax money back to the people.

We need to advocate responsible spending by requiring any excess money collected beyond the approved expenses of the Virginia State Budget, to be refunded back to the taxpayers. It's your money, it should be returned to you.

C. Improve the safety of Virginia's rural roads.

It is time to exablish 21st century safety standards for Virginia's rural road system. The rural roads should have wider lanes and paved shoulders, with guard rails where road conditions require. Together, we will make Virginia's rural roads safer for our friends and family to drive on.

D. Require both parents to provide financial support for their children.

All parents should provide financial support for their children. There are too many single parents in our area struggling to raise their children alone. They need the other parent's help in providing the financial support that is needed. It is time to help our single parents, by requiring mandatory counseling and tougher penalties for parents who refuse to provide that support.
